The Simplest Advice about academic paper writing you’ve Ever Heard

Yes, I too was scared at the beginning, spending days without sleep and stressful nights when I was pursuing my major in university, as I had to submit my paper. Luckily I didn’t just sit on that and paid my due diligence by researching the topics that found intriguing. Most of my research was not particularly on the topics and subject, rather being a perfectionist I even looked for ways for me to follow that surely will make my research paper stand out.

I will try to share my findings in a structured way so that you can refrain from the sleep-less nights and only rather work on things that you want.

I will start by giving answers to the basic misconceptions like,

·         What is an academic paper?

·         What structure to follow?

·         What are the common mistakes everybody does?

What is an academic paper?

As the name suggests, an academic paper is the proof of work and understanding one has to submit during the completion of graduation from any college. These submissions are done in front of a panel of teachers and sometimes accompanied by a presentation. But for the scope of the topic, we will stick to the Academic paper only.

What structure to follow?

  • Introduction – The author must give in a detailed introduction, research topic, problem statements, and summary.
  • Literature Review – In this section, the author studies other research topics done by other scholars, identify the limitation in existing research and build a counter-argument by carrying out the research.
  • Methodology – The method is most important and deals in explaining the research in a structured way for conducting research.
  • Results – The part that shows the findings and the only place where recommendations can be shared.
  • Discussion & Conclusion – This section summarizes the ‘Why’ of the research the author conducted for. Conclusion

What are the common mistakes everybody does?

Academic writing often throws challenges that one can hardly speculate. The most common mistake done by authors is, ‘Expectation’. Whereas, the paper should be constructed in such a manner that offers understanding even to a child. The structure bears more weightage than one understands. Any mistake here can ruin the whole paper in terms of readability and interest among scholars, as academic papers are often reviewed by peers. When an author submits a manuscript to the journals where the author expects to be reviewed, they expect to have a reviewer who is also the author of that manuscript. But in other cases, this poses significant challenges, and creating the paper following the standard structure is thus necessary. The length of the paper must be kept at a minimum, putting more focus on creating paragraphs of 8-10 lines. Making the paper grammatically correct is also very important. The tone of the whole paper must accept the fact, that the research topic will have its critics and always author must keep the discussion open which will allow further development and research if the need be.

Multiple things can go wrong while creating an academic paper. If you still think stress is what you will get even after knowing all about academic paper, feel free to give a ping to an online paper helper who is available for paper help online, 24*7.
